5 months!

We made it! We are all moved in to our new house, with the exception of some boxes left to unpack! So far, we love our house and neighborhood.  I don't have any house picures to share because it isn't all set up yet...and I don't want to take any pictures until it is! One thing I can say is that I have never had a hosue with this much storage.  Everywhere I have ever lived before, the closets have always been bursting at the seams.  Mostly because I have a ton of clothes we have two kids and a lot of stuff! This place has huge closets! All over! We also have a basement that is unfinished, but is really clean and dry.  We are in the process of making this into a play area for Arianna.  I have some foam alphabet mats on the floor and there is also space for her riding toys down there! Our house is 150 years old...so it has some weird quirks too...like a walk through closet from the guest room with a door that comes out in the back of the living room, hah! Our living room is really long, like rectangular shaped, so we are in the process of trying to figure out what to do with it.  We may use end as the sitting/tv area and the other end could have a desk and some bookshelves.  I promise to take pictures once it starts to come together! My favorite thing about our new house is the location.  We are in the north side of town, in an older neighborhood, with big, beautiful historic looking homes.  Also, about 3 blocks from Menominee Park, which is a HUGE park.  It's on the shores of Lake Winnebago and has walking paths, beaches, playgrounds, a carasoul, a petting zoo and a number of festivals and other things that go on throughout the year.  We have walked to this park almost every day since we have been here.  I LOVE IT.  If you walk toward the huge playground, which I will blog about soon, there is a one mile loop that circles the zoo and playground.  We usually do this loop a few times to get our exercise in each day! It helps that the weather has been in the 50's! Although, it did start snowing today, not just snow but a winter storm! Lotsss of snow! That brings me to my next topic...

Our little Brady dude is 5 months old today.  I cannot believe it.  We went in for his 4 month well baby check, a full month behind due to the time in Chicago, the move, etc, etc. We drove through blizzard like weather to get to the appointment.  It's never a simple task to leave the house in the winter with two small children either...Anyway, we got in the room and the nurse came and told us that they never recieved Brady's records from his old pediatrician (the records were requested about a week and a half ago) and we were not going to be able to do the appointment.  HOW ANNOYING.  I called our old pedi and they said that the records were sent out via snail mail TODAY.  Dumb.  So, I have no idea how much he weighs or any of that, and we have another appointment scheduled for 2 weeks from now.

Brady is doing so well.  It seems like he is so far ahead of where Arianna was as far as mobility.  He constantly is flipping from his back to his belly.  Weird...Ari didn't do that until pretty late.  She hated being on her belly.  It seems like Brady just really doesn't like being on his back.  At all. Brady rolls all over the place and is starting to get his butt up in the air too.  It honestly seems like he will be crawling soon.  Remember, Arianna didn't crawl until she was 10.5 months old!! Smiling and laughing are the norm for our silly little boy.  He seems to be happy the majority of the time.  He is also very loud and vocal.  He nurses about every 3 hours during the day and sleeps in usually 8-10 hour stretches through the night.  Not bad!! We are holding off on solids until at least 6 months.  I really see no point in introducing them right now.  Brady can sit up on his own for short periods of time, and he has been doing that for about the last 3 weeks or so.  He loves his sister and watches her constantly. You'll see him looking up and smiling at her all the time, even when she isn't talking to him.  It is adorable :) He is still in his Rock N' Play sleeper in our room and he will be for as long as he can be in it safely.  Probably not too much longer though, since he is already trying to sit up while he is in it!
That's all I've got for now, time to go unpack some more boxes! Also, don't judge me; I couldn't pick which 5 month pictures I liked the best...so I included all of them, there's 13, haha :)

Haha. He's adorable. They are all good pictures. You're so lucky he's sleeping through the night. My Layla who is 8 months barely started sleeping through the night at 7 months and even now she still has nights where she wakes up one or at 4 am.
